Christ will make his Home in your hearts

« For this reason, I fall on my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth receives its true name. I ask God from the wealth of his Glory to give you power through his Spirit to be strong in your innerself, and I pray that Christ will make his Home in your hearts through faith. I pray that you may have your roots and foundations in love, so that you, together with all God’s people, may have the power to understand how broad and long, how high and deep, is Christ’s Love. Yes, may you come to know his Love – although it can never be fully known – and so be completely filled with the very nature of God. To Him who by means of his Power working in us, is able to do so much more than we can ever ask for, or even think of : to God be the glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus for all time and for ever and ever ! Amen » (Ephesians 3).

We are coming to the end of our pilgrimage. At the baptism of Jesus, Heaven opens, the Holy Trinity « spreads out » over the earth. The « Heart of God » seems to open up never to close again. To take us in the Holy Spirit, to the heart of the ocean, the abyss of the Holy Trinity. This abyss, it is the Heart of Jesus, « abyss of mercy, abyss of joy »(see st Margaret Mary) and Paul today has us contemplate its Width, Height, Depth… » . May these words of Paul lead us today to a substantial time of adoration in front of the Blessed Sacrament, to light up from within our entrance from tomorrow into the liturgical time called « ordinary » in the Church. May this pilgrimage of forty days, which we are finishing today, make our « hearts burn » (see Luke 24), with the Love of the Heart of Our Saviour, to shed light upon our path, and to take this love to our brothers and sisters in all humanity.

Prayer :

All glory be to You, Ô Jesus, who spreads grace from Your Heart ! To the Father, the Holy Spirit, the same glory, for ever and ever.
